If you have been arrested a criminal record was created in your name. Many people believe that if their case was dismissed or were never convicted they do not have a criminal record. Unfortunately this is not the case!

You can find just about anything you want on the internet today; if you have an arrest record or criminal history (even misdemeanors) anyone can access this information!   In some cases you can be denied employment, housing, credit, and many other social services because of your record.

The information you obtain at this site is not, nor is it intended to be, legal advice. You should consult an attorney for individual advice regarding your own situation.

Records Removal Services does not perform services in the following:

Seal

Seal your record:

Obtaining a seal allows you to move on with your life. Your police, state attorney, other agencies, and court records are physically sealed and put away in a secured vault. Once your record is sealed, your entire record including booking photos, fingerprints, deposition and arrest record will no longer be available to the public.  .: more :.

Expunge

Expunge your record:

Once your record is successfully expunged you do not have to disclose the conviction to anyone else. On employment, housing and education applications, you will not have to reveal any of your past criminal history.

Your criminal record is treated as it had never occurred before. There will be absolutely no record of your arrest or conviction.  .: more :.

Pardons:

A pardon is the forgiveness of a crime and the penalty associated with it.

A pardon (also called clemency) is granted by a sovereign power, such as a chief of state (i.e. the Governor of your state, or the President of the United States)

A Pardon is the forgiveness of a crime and the penalty associated with it. .: more :.

Records Removal Services ExpungementRemoval from Criminal Databases:

An expungement, seal, vacated sentence, or convictions set-aside don't mean anything unless criminal databases are updated.

Even after a judge signs your expungement, seal, (and other such orders), they will remain visible to the general public; both privately owned and government agencies will continue to report your criminal information until they are officially notified and updated accordingly.

Expungement is a process, not an event.  Even after your expungement is granted, it is useless until government and privately owned criminal databases are updated!

In most cases, criminal databases have 180 days to remove your name from their database if a pardon, expungement, seal, or non-disclosure is granted. (see related blog post)

If you have a general question, make sure it isn't currently answered in our frequently asked questions section.

Remember, conviction records don't automatically go away with the passage of time. People, even with minor conviction, have to take actions in order to expunge their records. In addition, expungement orders from any state aren't worth the paper they are written on if government and privately owned criminal databases aren't updated.

Expungement is a focus of our company, but we are not a law firm. As such, our fees are always the cheapest because we have developed a semi-automatic, state-of-the-art system to complete the process once you have completed the steps in your initial paperwork packet.  We are more efficient and are generally able to provide a faster turn-around.

We will endeavor to make your expungement as speedy as possible. The procedure typically takes from 3 to 6 months (and sometimes longer) depending upon the Court, the complexity of the case, and how old the conviction is.
